D.I.E.T., Aligarh is a newly constructed D.I.E.T.. Initially D.I.E.T., Aligarh was situated at Hathras, when Hathras as a new district came in to existence, the academic and training activities of Hathras and Aligarh district were commenced by D.I.E.T. Hathras only.

On January 4th, 2005 by the Government order No.45/15-11-2003-1499 (28)/93/UP Nirman Nigam was nominated as the functionary institution for the construction work of Aligarh D.I.E.T..

D.I.E.T. Aligarh is situated at Madrak in Lodha Block, Aligarh, almost ten Km away from the District Headquarter at Agra-Aligarh Highway.

The newly constructed building was inaugurated by the Hon?ble Minister of Basic Education Prof. Kiran Pal Singh on 2nd of February 2005. On 18th June Dr. Anjana Goel joined the institution as the first Principal. Since then the D.I.E.T. Aligarh is working independently.
