DIET Kanpur nagar is situated in village Narval of Sarsaul Block. It is approximately 35 km for from Kanpur Nagar Headquarter. In the second round it was established in year 1992. Formerly, It was in existence as Govt. Normal School. Since its origin in 1922 it has successfully conducted various Pre-Service Training Programme batches of P.T.C., V.T.C., H.T.C., B.T.C. etc. Besides new administrative building of DIET, It has a wide spread cluster of buildings of old normal school. Major part of it is abandoned. Total area of Institute is 10 acres, which includes agricultural land also. It has a piece full and pollution free atmosphere. In present the institute is implementing various plans and programme directed by State Council of Educational Research and Training U.P., Lucknow.
