Revision of Curriculum

A state level workshop was held on 18th & 19th January, 2008 to orient state functionaries on NCF-2005. The workshop was headed by Professor Yaspal and Director of NCERT. This was followed by dissemination workshops on NCF-2005 by units of SCERT at state level and DIETs at district level. A State level steering committee was setup to review curriculum and textbooks in the light of NCF-2005. Finally Curriculum for classes 1 to 8 was revised in the light of NCF-2005 by expert committees constituted for the purpose at various units of SCERT. With decision being taken to introduce English in classes I and II, English curriculum for these classes has been added to the existing language curriculum.

Work done by SCERT in the context of NCF 2005 Review of curriculum and textbooks for primary and upper primary classes by the units of SCERT has been done. Meeting of Head/Faculty of units was held on 10th April 2007 to discuss the contents to be added or deleted from the textbooks. Revision of Regular BTC syllabus in the light of NCF 2005.
